The Gateway Program is the point of entry into YWCA Greater Austin Services. It includes:
- Reception: Gateway Specialists receive visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing and announcing them
- Intake: Gateway Specialists gather information about clients’ expericnes and needs either via phone or in person. The information gathered during the intake process is used to determine which, if any, of the YWCA’s services might benefit the client, identifying other needs and making necessary referrals.
- Bridge childcare subsidies: Gateway Specialists help families in crisis access short term childcare in order to find and maintain employment and find a permanent childcare option.
- Case management: Gateway Specialist help a limited number of clients access resources, opportunities and navigate the process of receiving assistance through direct interventions and referrals.
