Austin: Welcoming City Initiative is our city’s formalized commitment to be a welcoming, immigrant-friendly community. Initiative partners include the Commission on Immigrant Affairs, the City of Austin’s Economic Development and Health & Humans Services Departments, Travis County Research and Planning, the Immigrant Services Network of Austin (ISNA), and Cap Metro. Central Texas Perinatal Coalition brings together programs, agencies and professionals who provide medical, mental health and psychosocial services and support to the perinatal population along the continuum, including preconception, pregnancy, delivery and the first year of the child’s life. City of Austin Equity Action Team (EAT) is the community surrounding the Equity Office. Anybody who wants can join the EAT, whether they are City staff, a member of a local community organization, or just an individual who cares about advancing racial equity. Central Texas Coalition Against Human Trafficking’s mission is to work collaboratively to increase public awareness and identification of human trafficking cases, and to provide identified victims of human trafficking with comprehensive social and medical services. Learn more.
Immigrant Services Network of Austin is a working group of diverse community stakeholders and immigrant service providers operating together to coordinate efforts, increase public awareness, and inform policy, in order to better serve the immigrant community. Learn more.
Mayor’s Task Force on Institutional Racism and Systemic Inequities is a task force led by Mayor Steve Adler and comprised of several local representatives from business, education, and criminal justice to address institutional racism in Austin. Learn more.

Travis County Collaborative for Children is a bold and ambitious initiative led and catalyzed by the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development (KPICD) at TCU, and intended to bring SYSTEM WIDE CHANGE to the way foster children in Travis County are cared for during, and after, their time in state custody.
