Cossie-King Room Rental Information

The YWCA Greater Austin Cossie-King Conference Room is approximately 950 square feet of meeting space. The room seats up to 45 people in padded chairs without tables and 30 to 35 people with tables. Parking is available in the free lots surrounding the Southcliff Building in which the YWCA Greater Austin is located.

 

  • Reservation requests must be made within 2 weeks of the desired date. Requests do not ensure availability.
  • Reservations should account for set-up and clean up time. Extra time will be billed in accordance to standard hourly room fees outlined below.

General Availability

  • Monday–Thursday:8:30a.m.until7:00p.m.
  • Friday: 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
  • Weekend use is available only by special arrangement.

Booking

  • Payment is required at time of booking.
  • Deposit: A $50 deposit is due at the time of booking. Renters that fail to abide by YWCA Greater Austin’s clean-up policies as outlined below will not have their deposit returned.
  • Renters that do not submit a cancellation request within 7 days of the event date forgo the entirety of the deposit.
  • Payment is accepted by credit card only
  • Fees
    • YW Member: Member must be present to qualify for this rate.
      • First-Time Room Use: 1-hour FREE
      • Additional Block Rental – 4-hour minimum $40.00
      • Additional Hours Thereafter $10.00 per hour
    • Nonprofit: Copyof501©letter required.
      • Block Rental – 4-hour minimum $60.00
      • Additional Hours $15.00 per hour
    • Private / Commercial
      • Block Rental–4-hour minimum $80.00
      • Additional Hours: $20.00 per hour
  • Technology: Equipped with a laptop, projector and mounted screen so that you can display a presentation from your computer.
  • White board and markers.
  • Wireless access is available.
  • Technical support is not provided. We recommend an early arrival for a practice run for your presentation.

Cleanup & Damages Policy

Cleanup is the sole responsibility of the individual or group using the Conference Room.

The room must be cleaned and vacated by:

  •  7:00PM(Monday-Thursday)
  •  5:00PM(Friday)
  • End of booked time.
  • Users are responsible for taking all trash and debris with them.
  •  Alcohol is not permitted.

The person signing the agreement is responsible for ensuring that her/his representative understands the cleanup policy in case she/he will not be attending the event.

  • Renters that fail to abide by YWCA Greater Austin’s clean-up policies as outlined will not have their deposit returned.
  • Damages exceeding the deposit amount will be charged to the credit card provided, if necessary.
